Ends Monday, May 23, 2016 at 7:00 PM

Learn the ins and outs of harvesting rainwater in an informative class on rain barrels presented by Skagit PUD. Topics include: site location and setup, connecting multiple rain barrels, maintenance and safety tips.

Collecting rainwater is an easy way to conserve water — and save money on your water bill. With all the rain we receive here in the Northwest, water at times is viewed as an infinite resource to exploit as needed, but as the saying goes, “you don’t know the value of water until the well is running dry.”

During dry summer periods, rain barrels can be part of the solution. Just look outside your window the next time it rains and imagine all the water that’s running down your driveway being put to beneficial use in your home and garden!
