Board Approves Design Contract for Panorama Storage Tank Project
Post Date:03/23/2026 2:53 PMSkagit PUD’s Board of Commissioners has approved a professional services contract with Consor North America, Inc. for final design services on the Panorama Storage Tank Project.
The new 1.6-million-gallon reservoir, to be located south of Judy Reservoir, will provide gravity-fed operational, standby, and fire suppression storage for the Judy Reservoir Water Treatment Plant — the backbone of water service for approximately 116,000 Skagit PUD customers. The plant currently relies on electrically powered pumps, which are vulnerable to power disruptions, and has no dedicated backup or fire-suppression storage.
Construction will include a new prestressed concrete tank, approximately 3,900 linear feet of inlet and outlet piping, and a new access road to the tank site.
With design now advancing toward completion, construction is targeted to begin in early 2027. The project represents a $16.5 million investment in the long-term resilience and reliability of our regional water infrastructure.Return to full list >>
