Skagit PUD is exploring a potential program that would allow limited, temporary use of a portion of its water rights to make water available to agriculture and other approved local uses during summer low-flow periods on the Skagit River.

The documents below provide background on the program concept, the three-year pilot currently underway, and the policy development process the PUD is using to evaluate whether and how to continue the program beyond 2026.

Skagit PUD expects to hold multiple public discussions and provide opportunities for community input before establishing any long-term program.

Board of Commissioner Meetings 

The Skagit PUD Board of Commissioners holds open meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the Aqua Room and via Zoom, where members of the public can observe and participate in decisions made by the commission.
