Former GM Bob Powell Dies

Former Skagit PUD General Manager Bob Powell, 76, of La Conner, died January 7. Powell served as PUD general manager from 2011 to 2015.

Powell came to the district following 10 years as the managing principal for the Burlington office of HDR Engineering, Inc., an international architecture, engineering, and consulting firm. This was Powell’s second stint with Skagit PUD. He was a district employee from 1993 to 2001 and served as the operations manager.
