Gilligan Creek Road Slide Repair at Intake Project

Shoulder repair and slope stabilization at Skagit PUD’s Gilligan Creek surface water intake, per the attached plans and specification sheet. Includes installation of three rows of 15- to 25-foot-long rock dowels with anchored steel mesh to stabilize the existing slope, construction of two and three rows of gabion baskets in the upper portion of the slope to retain shoulder fill, and installation of a rock dowel supported ships ladder with upper landing (per Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 296-876-60015 Notes 1 and 2).

Work also includes road excavation at a secondary location in close proximity to the above-described work. The location of the proposed work is five miles east of Highway 9 off Old Day Creek Road, south of South Skagit Highway.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, in the parking lot of the Water Treatment Plant at 11932 Morford Rd, Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284. Site visit to follow for those interested.
