New Billing System Launched

Skagit Public Utility District has launched its new customer-care and billing system that manages critical customer-information data such as billings, meter reads, payment processing and service connections.

“It’s a big leap forward for the District,” Community Relations Manager Kevin Tate said. “We are replacing a 20 year-old computer system with one that provides the features we need to best serve our customers.”

What customers will notice first is a new look to their bill. We’ve replaced the water consumption bar graph with a chart that more clearly reflects the customer’s water use over a billing period.

The new system also enables the District to offer improved online service and account management tools. For customers wanting to go paperless, we can now offer an eBill statement that can be sent directly to their email inbox.

With all things new, the District is going through a break-in period using the software, which might result in our customer service representatives taking a little bit longer to process your call. We appreciate your patience!
