New Fill Station Opens in Sedro-Woolley

Skagit PUD has launched a new bulk water fill station at 24972 Minkler Road in Sedro-Woolley, which allows for 24-hour daily access to bulk water for our customers. The bulk water fill stations are sites where commercial business, agricultural operations and the general public can purchase large volumes of water at easily accessible locations.

Customers can fill smaller tanks up to and including large commercial tanker trucks. The easy access terminal provides security and ease of use.

Skagit PUD also operates two bulk water fill stations in Conway and Bow Hill. The new Sedro-Woolley site provides better service to our east county customers.

The fill station was funded in part by a Water Resources Drought Response Grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology. An increasing number of customers have had to truck water to their homes because of drought conditions in recent years. The water stations provide a convenient alternative to filling water tanks from fire hydrants.

Prior to using a bulk water fill station for the first time, customers must set up an account for access purposes and submit to a water fill tank inspection. Water is purchased using a pre-paid card. Customers will be required to complete and submit a Bulk Water Fill Station Water Use Permit.
