SPAWNtaneous Fun at Skagit River Salmon Festival September 7

Posted Wednesday, March 11, 2020

The Skagit touches just about everyone who lives here. The quality of life we enjoy comes from the Skagit River—quality water to drink and irrigate our crops, electricity for our homes and businesses, livelihoods for our fishermen, and a place for our families to play, picnic, camp and hike.

It’s for this reason that we invite you to join in celebrating our amazing river and its rich history at the second annual Skagit River Salmon Festival to be held at Edgewater Park in Mount Vernon on Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is a FREE event.

The Skagit River Salmon Festival is a fun-filled experience for families featuring youth activities and crafts, educational booths and cultural opportunities. Of course there is great music and food to enjoy, plus a wine and beer garden.

With events and activities planned throughout the day, participants come away with greater understanding and appreciation of our Skagit River and the many communities it sustains.
