We’ve Gone Mobile-Friendly!

With the ever greater proliferation of "smart phones," Skagit PUD has launched a mobile-friendly version of its website.

Now you can access news, information and eventually manage customer accounts from your phone. The mobile website is a ramp-up to a major overhaul of the PUD's financial billing and customer service software system.

In July, Skagit Public Utility District selected NorthStar Utilities Solutions' ERP Enterprise as its utility billing, financial, and asset management solution.

"The number one request from our water customers is to have the ability to manage and pay their accounts on-line. With NorthStar's eCare solution, we now have the opportunity to make a lot of customers happy!" said Customer Service Supervisor Bobbie Olin.

Skagit PUD conducted a review of Enterprise solutions during a multi-year selection process, considering all of the major vendors in the mid-tier utility marketplace.

"After an exhaustive review process, Skagit PUD's management team selected NorthStar Utilities Solutions for several reasons. In NorthStar, we found a configurable, off-the-shelf solution that fits the District's strategy of integrating our customer information system, asset management and GIS systems. The report writing tools were superior to anything we looked at," IT Manager Gary Chrysler said.
